Description: Volunteers of America (located in Los Angeles, CA) offers programs to address Veterans and their families with many issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD, TBI, substance abuse disorders, homelessness, unemployment, and lack of education.
Butterfly Village – located in San Pedro, provides affordable housing. Apartments are 2-bedroom units that include in unit washer/dryers and are fully furnished, utilities included.
HUD-VASH Program – offers housing vouchers offering permanent housing solutions with case management support.
Veterans Service Center – This is a first point of contact for homeless Veterans. They assess, advocate, and make referrals to the Volunteers of America program, helping you stabilize, finding housing, work and assist you with your benefits. They are available 24/7 including food, AA/NA support, shelter, and detox beds with three meals a day, showers, laundry, case management and more.
