Illegal Immigration: More Liberal Insanity: Biden Plans to Pay $450,000 to Separated Illegal Alien Families

On Thursday, Oct. 28, Republicans moved to block a proposed plan by the Biden Administration to pay $450,000 to undocumented immigrants who were part of family separations during the Trump administration’s zero-tolerance border policy. This proposal is another example of liberals and leftists rewarding illegal immigration and excusing the breaking of immigration laws while condemning the efforts meant to secure the border.
Montana Sen. Steve Daines said, “This is insane,” and said he would introduce an amendment to the upcoming defense policy bill to derail the plan. Other Republican lawmakers should close rank and oppose this “reparation” for undocumented immigrants who abused their children.
The payments are to compensate thousands of children and parents for the (supposed) trauma they suffered in the separations during the “zero tolerance” policy of the Trump Administration. For undocumented immigrant families that jumped the border without permission, the adults went to jail, and the children had to be separated.
American families endure the same separation when an adult goes to jail, and the children are separated. Yet, liberals and leftists are already demanding money for descendants of Black slaves, for Native Americans, and now for undocumented immigrants? When does this “victim” card end?
The families would not be separated if they had come legal and followed the proper procedures for legal immigration. But, instead, they chose to enter illegally, and we must not reward that decision. The American taxpayer must not pay for their crime.
If we continue to excuse and reward illegal immigration, we will only get more and worse. We should not pay undocumented immigrants anything, but we should deport them all, including families.
